Today we went to the library. Kind of a little field trip, I guess. Took things a lot more relaxed. I don’t want to overwhelm him the first week, so instead of our regular reading curriculum, we read a book that interested him, on his grade level. We skipped handwriting for the day and did the other two subjects from the curriculum. It was a very pleasant experience. The other boys seemed to enjoy the outing as well. All in all, I’d say it went rather well.
Oh, how I can relate. Although, I will top this story and let you know one time we opened the dryer to find a cat. Well, a dead cat. But that story is for another day! Good job on your blog. I find it humorous, well written and easy to read. I commend you on your courageous decision to homeschool 3 boys. You are a better woman than I. Love you!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would find your story funny (probably), he does not like cats. However, I bet that situation was pretty tragic to the kids. I can't imagine what I would do, or say. Thanks for the compliments. The blogging actually helps. So far, when things go wrong I just think to myself,"This is just material for the blog."
